The descendents of the Samoan had departed the Samoan Islands two millennia ago, migrating Eastward to settle the Society Islands, modern day French Polynesia, Easter Island, Northward to Hawaii, in 400AD.

A horseshoe Bat and the Malayan Pangolin are humankind's Grim Reaper, according to Chinese genome sequencing of the COVID 19 virus strain. By Tim Tufuga

The general hypothesis for the origin of the Coronavirus according to a Chinese fact finding investigation seems to have drawn some empirical evidence from a zoonotic origin. However, it has also been speculated that the origin may have been synthetically designed by artificial means within a laboratory as conspiracy theorists would contend, which has been prima facie debunked. primarily by Chinese scientists themselves. An independent second opinion from an independent international agency to verify this zoonotic (animal to human natural selection process, has yet to be determined).

Needless to say, the Zoonotic theory would contend that the most likely culprit would be sourced by two animals in which the genome sequencing of the Covid-19 virus were traced to the Horseshoe Bat. However, according to the genome sequencing the zoonotic transfer of the Bat to bind with the human Angiotensin converting enzyme 2 protein were incompatible and that an intermediary zoonotic transfer host would been found in the Malayan Pangolin which was also found at the Wuhan Fish Market during the initial coronavirus outbreak.

1.The primary Zoonotic viral transfer is allegedly the Horseshoe Bat.

2. The Intermediary Zoonotic transfer via the natural process through the Malayan Pangolin.

These two animals are allegedly the Culprit ground Zero of the COVID 19 Coronavirus pandemic.

Pacific Region COVID 19 death toll, as of 2nd April, 2020. By Tim Tufuga.

The daily death toll from the COVID 19 is truly horrific as the world realises how vulnerable we really are.

It has been a century since mankind has suffered a catastrophic pandemic with the Spanish flu.

With our conceited and self assured medical advances with the chance discovery by Alexander Fleming, in 1928 of Penicillin, leading to the very first antibiotic.by Australia's own Howard Florey, by 1940, in time for the Second World War many medical discoveries were to ensure that another pandemic would be effectively contained by our modern medical technologies and medical knowledge. Whilst we have never discovered an anti-viral cure, like an anti-bacterial penicillin, we had discovered many anti viral vaccines.

For the COVID 19, however, we are well behind the eight ball.

We are so imperfect and we have been exposed by nature as mere pretenders and that we truly do not have dominion over our environment. We are fragile creatures like species now extinct before us, we too will perish as a species as well.

In fighting for all humanity we truly do need a Superhero...a Medical miracle cure, like Fleming, it would most likely be through a chance discovery, like a speck on a petri dish, if not a anecdote cure, then at least a vaccine so as to inoculate the unaffected and the future generations from COVID 19.

Until then, we can only watch in horror, as the COVID 19 nightmare unfolds.

Elsewhere, the United States COVID 19 death toll is accelerating. Over 5,100 Americans have died to date. Nearly half of the deaths have been from New York City.

Indiana has recorded 65 deaths 21 from Indianapolis alone, where my wife and her family are hunkered down at their home, nearly the same number as the Australian COVID 19 death total to date. Australia has 23 recorded deaths.

It is official the first Covid 19 deaths in the South Pacific Region has been recorded in the US territory of Guam with 77 Covid 19 cases and 3 deaths added to the US State of Hawaii which has 258 cases with 1 death from COVID 19, and Northern Mariana Islands where there are 7 cases with another single death from Covid 19.

French Territories: French Polynesia has 37 cases, New Caledonia 15 cases, no recorded deaths to date.

Independent Nations in the Pacific region:

Fiji has five COVID 19 cases and no recorded deaths to date.
